About

My name is Lyndy. I am currently an Office Administrative Assistant with my church and wear many hats there. I prepare the bulletins and PowerPoint for Sunday Worship Services and I am also a Certified Lay Servant. I have taken the needed courses to become a Certified Lay Minister but awaiting the approval and certification process.

I’m currently giving sermons every fifth Sunday and working on giving more. I’m also starting a Fresh Expressions – “Bottoms Up” which is a gathering at a local coffee shop for all who are interested in gathering for a conversation and tea/coffee and feel a sense of belonging with others. I’m also leading our church into a free community dinner once a week for those in need of a meal on Friday evenings. It’s a way to reach out and help those who have a basic need that might not be met otherwise.

My ministry goal is to reach as many people of the community as possible to help, welcome and let them know that they are loved, wanted, and have resources if they need them. The main ministry reach out I am aiming for is the homeless, those with addictive disease and support them with respect, love, and encouragement in them seeking the help they want, need and are fighting for. My second ministry goal is to reach into the community to those who feel they are on a spiritual journey and are not sure where they belong and are looking to feel included with others and might not know where to look. Growing the church begins outside the church.

Outside of the church I am a crazy “purry” momma. I have 5 amazing kitties who I spend my free time cuddling and talking to. My husband of 8 years is retired due to health issues and he spends most of his time guarding the porch and saying “hello” to the passers-by. He’s definitely a friendly sort! I have 3 grown step daughters, 2 grandsons (one of which graduates 12th grade next year) and a granddaughter.

I think this covers it but if you have a question please feel free to email me and I’d be happy to answer anything that I can.
