Studying doesn’t have to be daunting.

The idea of studying the Bible feels like a boring and daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. Learning the Good News can be fun and interesting. There’s many ways you can make it that way.

Once a week I’ll post a new way to study the Bible and you can try out any that seem interesting and you can modify them to suit your needs. There will be everything from various study methods to color coding your Bible. There will be Reading your Bible plans as well and making a mess in your Bible! I’ve been told by many people that “A messy Bible is a well used Bible!” And for those of you who really don’t want to make a mess in your Bible I’ll even have a way you can make a messy Bible Notebook/Journal. But one thing at a time. Let’s get this post finished so you can check out this first Bible Study resource.

What does G.R.O.W. stand for?

G.R.O.W. is an acronymn for:

G – Greet God (Pray to invite Him to your study time)
R – Read the passage (Try to read it out loud the 2nd time)
O – Observe (Observe what the passage is saying and record your observations)
W – Write the scripture in your journal/notebook

Making G.R.O.W. Fun

If you are willing to make your Bible messy or you don’t mind highlighting you can highlight your scriptures as you read them. Underline them, write notes in the margins. You can also make your notebook/journal colorful as well by color coding your responses in the G.R.O.W. sections.

The possibilities of what you can do to make Bible Study fun are endless. Learning God’s Word doesn’t have to be a chore but instead something to look forward to and hungering for it!
